The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Sunday said the much anticipated conduct of the 2018 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) would now hold on February 26. The board’s Head, Media and Information, Fabian Benjamin, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos. A video of Philomina Chieshe, a sales clerk in the office of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Benue state, saying a snake mysteriously swallowed the missing N36m, has surfaced. The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has reacted to a bizarre report trending of a snake swallowing N36 million from the vault of one of its state branches. The board said the case was that of pure criminality and fraud on the part of one of its staff. Nigerians on social media have also been reacting to the disappearance of the cash in JAMB’s Makurdi office. According to a report in Sun news online, a mystery snake was said to have sneaked into the accounts office of the Board in Makurdi and ‘stolen’ N36 million cash Saturday Sun said a team of auditors was dispatched to different state offices of JAMB to take inventory of the sold and unsold scratch cards and recover whatever money that might have either been generated or mismanaged during the period of the sale. This is to inform all the 2018 JAMB UTME candidates who have successfully registered for the forthcoming examination that the exam body has directed that re-printing of registration slips should commence from Feb. 18th 2018. Candidates are advised to visit any  JAMB accredited Computer-b ased Test Centre or cybercafé to do the re-printing.  The essence of re-printing the UTME slip is for candidates to know their e xact examination date,  time and venue. Candidates are also advised to arrive at  their various centres/venue 1 hour, 30  minutes before the scheduled time and  ensure they adhere strictly to their exam  date, time and venue as anyone who misses his or her examination will have no  opportunity to write it again.
